Project Energy: 120MW
Project Energy Storage: 120MWh
Project Location: south of Farmington, KY
Renewable energy resources are sought after by manufacturing, data centers, and other industries seeking to reduce their carbon footprint. Banjo Creek Solar will provide enough green, carbon-free energy to power up to 12,000 homes, helping Kentucky power companies shift away from carbon-based resources subject to the price swings of the market. Banjo Creek will provide green energy that makes Graves County a great place for companies bringing new jobs to invest and will keep west Kentucky green, avoiding expansion of coal or gas facilities.
The solar farm will bring upwards of $180 million in investment and tax base into Graves County, providing revenue for county services such as schools, roads and infrastructure without putting any demand on existing county services. Banjo Creek will significantly boost the funds available for the County to devote to improving services.
Solar farms are simple, quiet, produce no noise and are typically hidden from view by evergreen trees. Over 40% of the project materials will be produced in the USA and the project will employ all US labor.
Banjo Creek will play a significant role in creating a greener, cleaner, energy independent America, while bettering the lives of the local community!
GreenGo Energy US has secured to date +25,000 acres of land to advance more than 4.5 GWp solar and +1 GWh energy storage portfolio in the U.S. More than +1.7 GWp has achieved full financing commitments through partnerships with tier 1 investors from all parts of the renewable energy sector.
Because our business model avoids internal prioritization of projects on a balance sheet, our solar projects have a higher likelihood of success than our competitors’. Our diversified investor pool reduces any single project’s dependency on any one company’s decision-making, capital allocation, performance and/or risk appetite.
